Anna Barandun
midwife
I was born in Graubünden, surrounded by mountains, and grew up with my brothers in Chur. We spent every minute in the forest, hiking or skiing in the mountains. My enthusiasm for nature and its wonders made it clear to me early on that I wanted to become a midwife.
In my youth, I also developed a passion for traveling. Over the years, I got to know different countries and cultures.
In Nepal, I gained an insight into a hospital. I was able to complete an internship in a birth center in Hamburg. In Mexico, I was able to get to know the traditional art of midwifery and participate in home births.
After many valuable experiences in Switzerland and abroad, my path led me back home to Graubünden. My heart beats for the mountains, faraway countries and the well-being of women. With the founding of CURA FEMME. in January 2023, I have fulfilled a dream.
